Angelika Middendorf 1001 sec. Return To Space hamburg 2005

Installation view in Return to Space, Hamburg Gallery of Contemporary Art 2005 – 2006. The video's main sequence incorporates a strange 'displaces' floating water bubble within an abstracted infinitely curved space or field. The bubble and the grid express their relation as they follow vectors in contrary motion. The silvery bubble could seem to be reflecting the spectator, becoming an avatar of a body that is heavenly yet individual, not swept along with the flow of time.
